Hello July! We have made it to the season of beach, pool, summer shopping and for some.. Vacation. The Summer heat wave has made it’s grand arrival and the challenge is trying to stay cool. For many Fashionistas, Summer leisure time skimming through a few style magazines can definitely be considered a ritual to say the least. Hello One Style at a Time readers,Memorial day weekend is upon us which is the official beginning of all things Summer.Although wearing white after Memorial day is a thing of the past, everyone is certainly feeling “White Hot” fever these days. As with tribal prints, color blocking and neon brights, another trend that has been everywhere is the Nautical Stripes.What better time to bring out a fantastic pair of sunglasses, bold gold jewelry, a straw summer hat and a side of fashionable stripes. Celebrities like Eva Longoria, Kate Moss and a fashion favorite the Duchess of Cambridge have all been spotted wearing some form of this trend. Look around even further and you will see handbags, summer, makeup and manicures venturing with stripes. Red, white and blue is an American staple so go for it and experiment with this fabulous and girly trend.Have a safe & enjoyable Memorial Day Weekend!

Hello my dear Fashion readers! It’s great to be back from a great vacation. I apologize for not being more active but it has been a busy couple of weeks. I have had tons of catching up to do since being back from Mexico. Vacation in Cabo San Lucas was amazing! It was very relaxing and worth every minute I was there. What I can tell you about the fashion there is that it is casual and laid back. It’s all about comfort in warm weather. Fashion trends I spotted were crocheted cover ups, glitzy and metallic sandals, cowboy hats and fedoras were all the rage. Maxi dresses and bright colored bathing suits were very popular in the downtown scene. In this post I would like to share some scenic photos taken of some amazing places in Cabo. From the world famous Arches to the Ocean sunsets, Mexico served as a beautiful backdrop that truly inspired me in many ways. Enjoy these personal photos…its great to be back in full Summer Swing!

The season of sun and beach will be here before we know it. So its time to start thinking about what shoes are going to keep us cool, comfortable but of course very stylish. Let’s keep in mind that although ladies love their heels, today you can find many other ways to stay fashionable during the summer time. Whether you need a weekend, vacation or just a day to day shoe, here are some fun and fabulous options.

As we get through some of these overcast, still cool and rainy days we can’t help but look forward to Summer. As our minds wander to warmer and brighter days we begin to plan ahead for those vacation days. Moreover, we are dreaming of some well deserved pool and beach time.
